The Chair of Transnational Law is pleased to announce the conclusion of a preparatory meeting held ahead of the international seminar entitled “EU Values and Current Challenges Facing European Society: Digitalisation, Illiberalism and the Green Transition”.
At the invitation of Professor Anastasia Iliopoulou-Penot, the main event will take place on 29–30 May 2026 in Paris, bringing together students and PhD students from three leading academic institutions: the University of Warsaw, Paris-Panthéon-Assas University and Humboldt University of Berlin.
During the preparatory meeting, students of the Faculty of Law and Administration of the University of Warsaw presented draft versions of their papers, which provided an opportunity to refine their work and receive valuable feedback ahead of their international presentations. The students’ research is conducted under the academic supervision of Professor Robert Grzeszczak, with the support of PhD students Witold Janas and Mateusz Kaik.
The seminar sessions will be held in the amphitheatre of the Centre de droit européen in Paris, creating a forum for the exchange of views on some of the most pressing issues facing contemporary Europe. The thematic scope of the event—covering digital transformation, democratic resilience, and environmental policy—reflects both the complexity and the urgency of the challenges confronting the European Union.
The implementation of this trilateral project marks an important step towards strengthening the Chair’s international research cooperation. At the same time, it provides students with a unique opportunity to gain their first experience in an international academic environment and to develop their research and cross-border collaboration skills.
