The Chair of Transnational Law extends its sincere gratitude to Prof. Anastasia Iliopoulou-Penot and the Centre de droit européen – Université Paris-Panthéon-Assas for their kind invitation to participate in the joint seminar entitled “EU Values and Current Challenges Facing European Society: Digitalisation, Illiberalism and the Green Transition”, which took place on 29–30 May 2026 in Paris.
The event brought together approximately 40 students from three leading European universities: the University of Warsaw, Université Paris-Panthéon-Assas, and Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin. The seminar provided an excellent platform for in-depth reflection on the pressing challenges facing the European legal order, particularly in the context of digitalisation, illiberalism and the green transition.
A particularly valuable aspect of the seminar was the opportunity to observe how young researchers engage with complex issues of transnational law. The international connections established during the meeting, as well as the experience gained in a multicultural academic environment, will undoubtedly have a significant impact on the participants’ future academic and professional development.
Initiatives of this kind are of special importance to our Chair. Supporting international academic cooperation and encouraging students to actively engage in academic life from the earliest stages of their careers remain at the core of our mission. We are pleased to see this tradition continuing to develop so dynamically.
We are also delighted to announce that further joint initiatives with our partners from France and Germany are currently being planned.
Following months of preparation, students of the Faculty of Law and Administration at the University of Warsaw delivered presentations of outstanding academic quality.
